Sarah is the creative visionary behind award nominated Our Jonrah Events.

With over 10 years of industry experience, Sarah masterfully connects the art of hosting and joy of celebrating to produce immersive events. As someone who carved a creative path for herself, she values meaningful details that allows her clients to be seen and understood. The beauty of her work is that it is always different – delivering the character of each client’s story and style to share thoughtful intention and lifelong memories within the guest experience.

Her inspiration comes from her fashion background, travels across 20+ cultures and countries, and passion for supporting local entrepreneurs. She loves full circle moments and planning an event vision from start to finish is a wholesome experience she do again and again.

RHEA
Lead Coordinator

Rhea is the lead coordinator at Our Jonrah Events, overseeing our coordination couples and vendor management for our wedding portfolio. With a background in venue management and executive support, she is able to foresee risks and handle any scenario seamlessly.

Her favorite part of weddings is perfecting the fine details to create a flawless first impression. Fun fact—she moved to Edmonton for love and embraces everything with a fresh perspective. In her free time, she enjoys calligraphy, engraving, and bottle painting. A big fan of Calle Mexico, she highly recommends them!

Alex

coordinator

With a background in education, Alex excels at building processes, structure, and managing complex timelines. She is passionate about a well executed experience and has been supporting events with OJE from the beginning.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking trails with her husband and dog, Hoolie, and exploring local restaurants – her favourite being the Marc’s supper clubs!

Anjela

Event Support

Anjela’s strong attention to detail, organization, and adaptability stems from her experience in administration and customer service. She excels at multitasking and loves bringing unique wedding visions to life, from design to perfectly styled details.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and staying active outdoors, making the most of Edmonton’s beautiful summers.

Lucy

Event Support

Lucy is our ultra-organized setup and takedown pro. With a keen eye for detail and night owl energy, she thrives behind the scenes, especially during takedown. She loves the warmth and connections shared on wedding days, where love and support fill the room so beautifully.

A true foodie, Lucy is always up for trying new restaurants. Beyond great meals, she delights in taking photos and noticing the beauty of her surroundings.

Vivian

event Support

Vivian thrives in behind-the-scenes environments, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every task. Her bubbly and social personality keeps our team smiling, and her adaptability makes her a valuable asset when roles need to shift.

In her free time, Vivian enjoys playing board games and exploring local spaces and places. One of her favorite memories is traveling to Scotland, where she fell in love with Highland cows!

Sophie
Event Assistant

Sophie has been with us for three wedding seasons! In assisting wedding days, she enjoys being a part of the bigger picture and executing the couple’s vision. Bringing people together is her favourite part and what better environment than through the joyous occasion of weddings.

Recently graduated, she’s evolved into a coordinator role with us as she enjoys taking the lead and being able to see a couple’s wedding day to fruition. Her experience in working with all ages and background as a violin teacher plays a huge part in her ever patient and understanding approach to working with everyone.

In her leisure she loves to try new restaurants around town and in particular, those mindful of dietary needs given she’s gluten and lactose intolerant- Izakaya Tomo and OEB are her go-tos! She also loves a good workout and enjoys attending fitness classes with friends.

Lucy
Event Assistant

Lucy is our ultra organized setup and takedown queen. Her detail oriented nature thrives behind the scenes and as a night owl, she is most energetic at takedown. Surrounding herself with connection and happiness is important and this is what she finds special about wedding days; there is always ample love and support in the room.

A foodie herself, Lucy loves to eat and will always give any new restaurant a try. Besides a well plated meal, she also finds beauty in capturing photos of bridges and cityscapes. Never missing a beat, Lucy enjoys drumming in her leisure.

the story behind

JONRAH

It all began when I realized my husband’s name, Jon Jon and my name, Sarah formed “Jonrah” and sounded like a real word- genre. I was smitten with this new found pun and a correlated definition that was defined as

"a category of artistic composition, as in music or literature, characterized by similarities in form, style, or subject matter."

Jonrah quickly became #OurJonrah when we tied the knot and planned our wedding in six short months.

When it came to choosing a name for the business, adding Events to Our Jonrah was a natural extension and felt right. We believe in planning each event differently – weaving the threads of your unique love story into a fabric of your very own wedding experience and artform – your very own jonrah.
