Alice in Wonderland Fundraiser

Excel Society celebrated their 60th anniversary and desired to present themselves at the forefront of their client care industry for those living with disabilities and mental health. With initial ideas in hand, they felt a bit directionless to achieve their “A Night of Wonder” theme inspired by the iconic Alice in Wonderland. They desired a creative yet cohesive perspective to align multiple team voices and partially planned concepts. 

Stepping in with their executive team, we started with a consultation to understand the scope, scale, and goals of this project. Building awareness around their brand and sparking an inaugural theme fundraiser that would spur desire for future events was their main objective. We wanted to communicate the ideal wonderland Excel Society provides to their clients and curate an immersive design forward experience that would lead guests into a transformative setting. This was music to our ears as we love to think outside of the box and immerse guests into a storyline. 

From custom projection mapping on the venue’s walls to organizing unique talent that aligned with their brand, our take on this wonderland was one of enchantment, magical delight, and creative ambience with the use of stand alone lighting and placement. We build an engaging guest journey around the venue’s layout to strategically guide guests from our world (reality – the entry lobby) into an immersive keyhole entry (Mad Hatter’s World – main space) that would end on a stern, yet memorable interaction reflective of the Queen of Hearts (Queen’s Quarters – flex exit space) that the work is far from over and taking action is key to a successful future.
